Tanzania 2014: so much more than the 'big five'

A lot is made, in African safari destinations, about 'The Big Five'. We heard mention of them several times while in Botswana a couple of years ago, and I've frequently heard them mentioned in the same breath as Kruger...

Oddly, it was only whilst sat in the queue for the bag drop at Kilimanjaro Airport, on the way home, that it even occured to me that we'd seen all five. Up until then, we hadn't once thought about 'The Big Five' during our ten days in Tanzania.
